ITIA membership is available to the following types of organizations and entities:
| Sales Tax TIF Municipalities |
| Those municipalities that established one or more sales tax TIFs prior to 1987 and are therefore eligible to receive sales tax increment funds from the State of Illinois. |
| • Annual membership dues: $750 |
| Property/Utility Tax TIF Municipalities |
| Those municipalities that have established one or more utility tax and/or one or more exclusively property tax TIFs. |
| • Annual membership dues: $375 |
| Private Sector Executive Members |
| Businesses, firms or individuals that utilize TIF or work with either sales or property tax municipalities. Most are businesses located within TIF areas, or development firms, law firms, consultants or financial institutions. ITIA Executive Members are consulted by the Board and Executive Director for advice and counsel regarding the full range of issues and policies affecting TIF and economic development in Illinois, and by virtue of their membership serve on the ITIA Legislative Council. |
| • Annual membership dues: $1,500 |
| Private Sector Private Members |
| Businesses, firms or individuals that utilize or work with TIF municipalities. These members are accorded all the rights and privileges of membership. |
| • Annual membership dues: $750 |
| Development Organization |
| Not-for-profit local or regional economic development organization serving one or more ITIA community. |
| • Annual membership dues: $560 |
PLEASE NOTE: ITIA dues year runs from July 1 to June 30.
